<p>Automatic welding for hollow objects produced by the bending of flat sheet, which has to be welded longitudinally, consists of pressing of the relevant edges against each other followed by fusion welding at the same, higher or lower pressure, to produce a joint. The wall thickness of the hollow object is not thinner in the weld seam area than elsewhere. Used for mfr. of straight seam welding.</p> |
