<p>Removing asphalt deposits from wells Method comprises contacting the asphalt-contng. deposits with a predetermined quantity of aromatic solvent (esp. >90 vol. % bicyclic aromatics b.pt. 400-650 degrees F) and thereafter contacting with steam containing an aromatic solvent in the vapour phase for a time sufficient to dissolve the deposits and removing the deposits from the well.</p> |
