PURPOSE:To enable an excellent image to be transferred onto general purpose paper without generating peeling off or the like of an image receiving layer part by a method wherein in a sheet wherein the image receiving layer capable of being transferred to paper to be recorded is provided on a substrate, ketone resin is used as an under coating layer between the image receiving layer and the substrate. CONSTITUTION:For a thermal transfer recording system, by heating a thermal transfer recording sheet by a heating means of a thermal head or the like, vaporable or thermal diffusive color element of said recording sheet is transferred from a color material layer to the image receiving layer to obtain an image. In that case, ketone resin is provided as an under coating layer between the transferring image receiving layer and the substrate in a thermal transfer recording sheet. As the ketone resin, ketone resin which is generally sold on the market, for example, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, acetophenone. etc., is used as raw material, and the resin to be obtained by its condensating reaction with formalin under existence of an alkali catalyst is used. |
