PRODUCTION OF SYNTHETIC GAS CONTAINING BOTH CARBON MONOXIDE AND HYDROGEN

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic gas by contact between a methane-contg. gas and oxygen-contg. gas in the presence of a catalyst of higher activity which is easier to prepare and lower in the amount of expensive active constituent metal carried thereon. CONSTITUTION:The objective synthetic gas can be obtained by partial oxidation through contact between a methane-contg. gas and an oxygen-contg. gas at 300-1200 deg.C using a catalyst comprised of high-purity ultrafine single crystal magnesium oxide powder and a group VIII metallic element.
