1385336 Garbage unit K B L LOVQVIST 4 Feb 1972 [17 Feb 1971] 5290/72 Heading A4A [Also in Division B8] A collecting device for refuse or dust comprises an annular space 12 containing plastics material which forms a receptacle 11 for refuse, a tubular casing 3 at least partly enclosing the receptacle and resting on a base-plate I, the casing being shiftable from a first position for collecting refuse to a second position Fig. 3, (not shown), for removing the receptacle from the device. The annular space 12 is either inside or outside the device and is formed by a tubular member 7 and a flange portion 9 supported on studs 10 mounted on the casing 3. The casing 3 is pivotably attached to columns 2 for movement to an inclined position to expose the receptacle 11 and draw a fresh length of material from the annular space 12. The material is cut at C, Fig. 3 (not shown) and the new bag formed by closing the material at B. A leg (17) is provided to support the casing 3 in the inclined position. In a second embodiment, Fig. 5 (not shown), a casing (23) has a bracket (25) mounted on a column (22) and is raised vertically by use of handles (27). The casing may be secured by brackets to a wall or pole, and may be of a tapering shape.
