<p>1295427 Cellulose compositions CIBAGEIGY AG 2 July 1970 [2 July 1969 14 May 1970] 32142/70 Addition to 1251157 Heading C3F A preparation comprises a pigment and/or optical brightener having pigment characteristics and cellulose esterified by both an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic carboxylic acid and an acid selected from benzoic, phenyl acetic and cinnamic acids, which may be substituted. The cellulose ester contains 0-3À5% by weight free hydroxyl groups, and is, for example, cellulose acetobenzoate, propiobenzoate, crotonatebenzoate, stearatebenzoate, benzsate-hexahydrobenzoate, acets-ortho-chloisbenzoate, propioortho-methoxybenzoate, propio-ortho-methylbenzoate, aceto-phenylacetate, aceto-cinnamate, or cellulose benzobutyrate which contains 35-45% butyryl groups, 15-22% benzoyl and 0À5-3À5% free hydroxyl groups. The pigment preferably comprises 20-90% of the preparation, and may be a metal powder, carbon black, TiO 2 , ferric hydroxide, chrome oxide green, molybdate orange, ultramarine, or an organic pigment of the azo, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine, nitro, perinone, perylenetetracarboxylic acid diimide, dioxazine, thioindigo, isoindolinone or quinacridone dyestuff series.</p> |
