The NaCl is admixed with >=0.05-5%, pref. 0.1-0.6% hygroscopic organic dihydroxy and/or polyhydroxy cpds., or derivs. of these cpds. and/or polyol condensation products and/or hygroscopic polyol condensation products and/or their derivs., together with 0.1-10%, pref. 0.5-1%, of a solid, water-insol. adsorbent. Glycerine is a suitable polyhydroxy cpd. and infusorial earth is the preferred adsorbant.
