PURPOSE:To simultaneously reproduce recorded information of plural tracks by forming plural spots while drividing a single laser beam by a light intensity modulator equipped with a light shielding band arranged in an incident path and processing the reflection light from a spot. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam emitted light from a laser light source 1 is taken as a parallel light by a collimator lens 2 and guided to a light intensity modulator 3. The modulator 3 is equipped with a light shielding band 4 to set the longitudinal and scanning direction parallel each other. The light shielding band 4 produces two side lobes S and forms spots M and S on an optical disk 7 through a beam splitter 5. The reflection light from each spot is detected by light detectors 9A, 9B, and 9C, and adjusted by adjustment means 10A, 10B, and 10C. The cross talk is removed by a removing device 11 and the information recorded on tracks A, B, and C is reproduced simultaneously. |
