A method of reproducing a light pattern comprises electrostatically charging a xerographic plate which includes a softenable photoconductor layer of vitreous selenium, exposing the plate to a light pattern to form an electrostatic image, and softening the layer whereby the layer is distorted in accordance with areas of high potential gradient in the electrostatic image. The embodiment described with reference to Figs. 1 and 4 is as described in these figures in Specification 1, 043, 981, except that a layer 32 of vitreous selenium is used.</p> |
