<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a current collector for a lead storage battery which can control an early capacity deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: A lead powder or a lead-based alloy powder is used as a lead containing powder, which is a raw material of a cathode current collector of a lead storage battery, and an antimony elementary powder or a lead-antimony complex oxide powder (PbxSbyOz) is used as an antimony containing powder. The lead-based alloy powder is, for example, a lead-tin-calcium (Pb-Sn-Ca) alloy. A bismuth elementary metal powder can be used as a substitute of the antimony elementary metal powder. The lead containing powder and the antimony containing powder are mixed and a sheet is produced by a powder rolling.
