PURPOSE:To provide an automatic accompaniment function by providing a device of generating automatic accompaniment according to the kinds of the codes having been detectd with a code detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A channel processor 200 assigns the key code data having been formed with its key coder 100 to any of plural sound producing channels and generates data for forming arpeggio sounds. The data having been sent out from the channel processor 200 are applied to a digital tone generator 400. The digital tone generator 400 generates various musical tone signals of the pitches corresponding to these data based on the data having been sent from the channel processor 200. The musical tone signals having been generated from the digital generator 400 are given with timbres and are produced from a sound system 600.
