<p>APPLICATION FOR LETTERS PATENT FOR "FIRE RATED CEILING RUNNER SYSTEM WITH EXPANSION ACCOMMODATING MEANS" A suspended ceiling grid system is disclosed which can accommodate longitudinal expansion of inverted tee runners upon exposure to heat. Buckling is prevented in the inverted tee runners which continue to support ceiling tile to thereby provide a fire rated grid system. Slidable trim caps engage inverted tee flanges to provide a continuous decorative appearance along the bottom otherwise exposed portions of the runners.</p> |
