PURPOSE:To facilitate the discrimination of appearance between a normal wound pirn and a rethreaded pirn in rethreading a broken yarn at a spindle in starting the winding of yarn in a draw twister, etc., by overrunning the initial returning position of a ring rail from the normal position. CONSTITUTION:A yarn is broken at a spindle in starting the winding of yarns in a draw twister, etc., and the broken yarn is rethreaded at the spindle to start the winding. In the process, the initial returning positions 10 and 11 of a ring rail 5 are beyond the normal returning positions 12, 13 and 14. Thus, the winding width of the innermost layer in the rethreaded pirn (a) is greater than that of the normal pirn (b) and can be readily discriminated in appearance with certainty. |
