PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of an automatic reversing type tape recorder or the like, by arranging a reel driving means, cam means shifting a magnetic head, selectively, drive delivery means, hooking means for magnetic head locking and the like, symmetrically around a driving means. CONSTITUTION:One of reel shafts 97, 96 is driven via a gear 106 of a shaft 14 forming the driving means in response to the tape running direction via a rotary lever 112 slid around the shaft 14 of a capstan 114 and via an idler 116 mounted to the lever 112. Further, a driving torque from the gear 106 is delivered to a cam member 150 selecting a magnetic head in response to the tape running direction for advancing therethrough via delivery gears 172, 175 and the like. Moreover, a pressing pawl 68 of the selected and advanced head is inserted and locked to the groove of the cam 150. The idler 116, the cam 150 and the gears 172, 175 are arranged symmetrically around the gear 106, allowing to simplify the constitution of the automatic reversing type tape recorder. |
