PURPOSE:To shorten a picture interval without increasing a scanning return speed by extending a photoreceptor between a roll and a selector coaxial with it, and increasing the ratio of length and pitch of a latent image above that of an exposure period and exposure time through the oscillation of the selector. CONSTITUTION:The belt photoreceptor 1 is extended between the roll 2 and selector member 3 provided coaxially without any sag; the roller 2 is rotated counterclockwise by the 1st driving motor 19 at an angular speed omega1, and the selector member 3 is oscillated around a shaft 24 by a motor 21 through a pinion 22 in an optional direction and at an angular speed omega2. Therefore, the speed of the photoreceptor 1 on the member 3 is varied optionally by selecting the angular speed omega2 and direction. Thus, the member 3 is oscillated to increase the ratio of length and pitch of the latent image above that of the exposure period and exposure time. Consequently, the picture interval is decreased without increasing the scanning return speed. |
