PURPOSE:To obtain a large reproducing output, by butting two core halves made of Mn-Zn ferrite single crystal so as to face the axis of the halves shifted by a prescribed angle from the direction of contact surface with a tape on a magnetic path each other. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head is formed by butting the core halves X1, X2 so as to face the axis 110 (arrow Q) shifted by a prescribed angle (11 deg.) from the direction (arrow P) of the contact surface 145 with a tape on the magnetic path, in the magnetic head formed by butting the two core halves made of Mn-Zn ferrite single crystal comprising the magnetic path surface, the gap butt surface 123 and the contact surface 145 with a tape. A large reproducing output is obtained at both 1MHz and 5MHz, in comparison with the case that the axis 110 shifted for a prescribed angle are in a parting direction to each other or in parallel. |
