PURPOSE:To vary automatically an aperture value for flash image pickup within a specific range and to reduce the probability of out-of-focus flash photography by varying the aperture value for flash image pickup corresponding to specific film sensitivity according to the difference from set film in sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:The output of a constant film sensitivity signal output circuit and the set value of a set film sensitivity signal output circuit SS are processed by a subtracting circuit SUB. The aperture value gamma1 which is outputted by a selecting circuit MP10 according to a flash photography signal and an interchangeable lens signal and corresponds to constant film sensitivity in flash photography is varied by an adder ADD to control an aperture value controller CA according to the aperture value corresponding to the set film sensitivity. Thus, the aperture value is varied automatically within the specific range to adjust the depth of focus without limiting the aperture value unnecessarily, reducing the probability of out-of-focus flash photography.
