PURPOSE:To improve yield in the stage of rolling a rolled material in three stages by measuring a plane shape in each rolling process of forming, cross rolling pass, and rolling the part corresponding to an upper fill part thereof to a larger thickness and the other part to a smaller thickness then rolling the material in a right angle direction. CONSTITUTION:The plane shape of a rolled material is measured by an image pickup device 34 and a shape measuring device 35 in the process of rolling a rolled material in three stages; forming pass, cross rolling pass and finishing pass. The measured shape and a predetermined deflectless plane shape are compared by a comparator 36, and the amt. of under fill is determined by a calculator 37 for the amt. of under fill. A difference in the plane thickness necessary for making up the amt. of under fill is calculated with a calculator 38 for difference in plate thickness and a rolling reduction is changed in the midway of rolling according to said value, at which rolling reduction the material is rolled. The part corresponding to the under fill part is made larger in thickness and the other is made smaller. Such rolled material P is rotated 90 deg. and is subjected to ordinary cross rolling or finish rolling. The under fill part is thus thoroughly eliminated and the yield is improved. |
