PURPOSE:To prevent a driver from feeling uncomfortable vibration and prevent reduction of fuel consumption by controlling the amount of slip of fluid coupling for speed change gear for a car according to the position of the gear of a speed change gear mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A torque converter 4 is equipped with a lock-up clutch 11 for controlling slip, and the slip of the converter 4 is restricted by the drive-connection between the input and output elements 4a and 4b in a converter chamber 10. A slip controlling computer 20 operates, by the aid of a power source +V, by receiving each signal from a gear-position sensor 6 which detects the position of the gear of a speed change gear mechanism 5, engine revolution-number sensor 21, torque-converter output revolution number sensor 22, and a throttle turning-degree sensor 23, and then a solenoid valve 19 is duty-controlled. Said computer 20 consists of a microprocessor including random-access memory, Read-only memory, input/output interface circuit, analogue-digital converter, wave-form shaping circuit, and an amplifier. |
