PURPOSE:To prevent stains of members due to unnecessary toner arranged near the recovery route of said toner by regulating the distance between a cleaning blade and a electrostatic charge bearing body to regulate height of accumulating toner. CONSTITUTION:A blade holder 21 is turned with, e.g. a solenoid to keep a cleaning blade 19 apart from a photosensitive drum 1. Its distance l3 between the blade 19 and the drum 1 is regulated with a stopper pin fixed to a main body. The distance l3 is set to a value smaller than the min. gap l0 of all the gaps of members arranged near the conveyance route. Therefore, the blade 19 contacts with the drum 1 to collect unnecessary toner, and when it comes apart from the drum 1, the height l4 of the attached toner T1 is limited to the max. value of said distance l3 of the blade 19, the toner can be conveyed without attaching to the members arranged near the route. |
