PURPOSE:To obtain a stable laser light with a single mode wavelength, by composing a metal vapor laser oscillator of a first metal vapor laser oscillator having a small diameter and small output for exciting a dye laser oscillator and of a second metal vapor laser oscillator for exciting a dye laser amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A laser unit comprises a metal laser oscillator 3a having a small diameter and small output, a metal vapor laser oscillator 3b having a large diameter and large output, a laser vapor laser amplifier 4 having the same diameter with and connected in series to the oscillator 3b, an optical system distributor 7, a dye laser oscillator 5, three-dye laser amplifiers 6a, 6b and 6c connected in series and trigger electronic circuits 15a, 15b and 15c for exciting the metal vapor laser oscillators and the vapor metal vapor. According to this construction, the laser oscillator 3a is allowed to output stable laser light having a small spectral width and excellent coherence. Consequently, the dye laser oscillator 5 excited by this laser oscillator 3a is also allowed to output laser light having a stable output. |
