PURPOSE:To obtain the composite material for sliding member of uniform organization by a method wherein the powder or plate material for a sliding part is placed on a back material, and laser beam or electron beam is irradiated for above powder or plate material so as to be melted locally and cooled rapidly to solidify. CONSTITUTION:The powder 2 for sliding part is sprayed in the prescribed thickness by a sprayer H on the back material 1 which is unwinded by an uncoiler A. The power 2 of the irradiating part is made in a melted or half melted state by irradiating a laser beam or electron beam 4 on the powder 2 on the back material 1. The powder is then mutually fixed and the powder and back plate are adhered by solidifying the part in melted or half melted state with rapid cooling. The similar effect is obtainable even in case of using a plate material instead of the powder 2. |
