PURPOSE:To effectively perform the mixing and defoaming of a liquid to be treated and a powder regardless of the characteristics of the liquid to be treated, by providing a pump chamber to the bottom part of a vertical vacuum tank having an inverted cone shaped bottom part and emitting the liquid sucked in a pump onto the inclined plate provided to the upper part of the vacuum tank. CONSTITUTION:When a prescribed amount of a liquid such as a resin liquid is supplied to a vacuum tank and a pump consisting of impellers 3, guide vanes 4 and a drive shaft 5 is operated, the liquid is sucked in the pump to be emitted to an inclined plate 10 through a conduit 8 and flows down along the inclined plate to fall on the liquid in the tank. When a powder such as powdery silica sand is gradually supplied to the tank by a supply nozzle 16, the powder falling on the surface of the liquid is sucked in the liquid by a turbine blade 6 to be mixed with the liquid and the resulting mixture is further sucked in a pump chamber and defoamed under vacuum while flows down along the inclined plate. By repeating this process, mixing and defoaming are effectively performed within a short time regardless of the viscosity of the liquid and the treated liquid sufficiently subjected to mixing and defoaming is taken out from a take-out valve 11. |
