PURPOSE:To eliminate split loss of transmission/reception power by utilizing the combination of 90 deg. hybrids and the operation of an impedance element and diodes, applying AM modulation at transmission, applying total reflection at reception, combining signals by the hybrids and outputting an IF signal from a mixer. CONSTITUTION:An inputted high frequency oscillation signal (a) is divided into two oscillation signals a1, a2 by the 1st 90 deg. hybrid 2. Then the signals are AM-modulated by using a transmission base band signal from an input terminal 4, the phase of the signal a2 is delayed by -270 deg. while no phase delay is given to the signal a1, and they are fed to the 2nd 90 deg. hybrid 3. The signal a1 is divided into signals a11, a12 and the signal a2 is divided into signals a21, a22 by the hybrid 3, where the signal a11 is outputted without any delay, the signal a12 is outputted with a delay of -90 deg., the signal a21 is outputted with a delay of -360 deg. by the addition of delay of further -90 deg., and the signal a22 is outputted with a phase delay of -270 deg. respectively. Since the transmission signals a11, a22 outputted to an antenna 10 are in phase (because of 0 deg. and -360 deg.) and they are radiated through combination, the split loss at the division of the hybrids is eliminated.
