PURPOSE:To dispense with the complicated circuit adjustment and to secure the stable action by comparing the inverter output waveform inputted to CPU with the contents of ROM memorized beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A malfunction detection timing pulse is inputted to a CPU3 from a control unit 2 which drives an inverter 1. Whenever this malfunction detection timing pulse is inputted, the CPU3 takes in the output waveform of the inverter 1 as a bit pattern through a waveform shaping circuit 4. It is then operated whether the bit pattern thus taken-in coincides or discords with the data memorized in an ROM5, and in case of discord a malfunction signal is outputted through an output circuit 6.
