PURPOSE:To increase the adhesion of a magnetic head, by arrowing a core sliding contact plane to the minimum required, and forming the sliding contact part of a slider in a flat plane by grinding a part except a core gap part, and an erasing core part in a straight line shape. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 1 consists of a core holding body 2, a recording and reproducing core 3, an erasing core 4, a recording and reproducing coil 5, and an erasing coil, and the core 3 is formed so that only its center part is formed in a flat shape against the travelling direction of a floppy disk. In other words, the minimum required flat part L of a top part is provided at the top part of a core part bringing into contact slidably with the floppy disk, and other parts are formed in the straight line shape. When a floppy disk 9 is rotated, the flow of the air due to the rotation of the disk pushed up the slider part having a large sliding area contacting with the floppy disk, and pushes a floppy disk plane to the facing core part of the magnetic head by a reaction, and a contact surface pressure is increased at the core part because its area is narrowed. In this way, the adhesion between the surface of the floppy disk, and a recording and reproducing gap and an erasing gap is increased, thereby, a recording and reproducing characteristics can be improved.
