PURPOSE:To detect stably the protrusion of the head of a transfer recording paper and facilitate loading and unloading the transfer paper, by a construction wherein a releasing member as a specular reflector for exclusive use for a reflection-type light-emitting sensor is fitted to a movable part so that the releasing member is selectively set into a detecting position and a non-detecting position. CONSTITUTION:A releasing member 5 fitted to a movable part is set into a detecting position opposed to a reflection-type light-emitting sensor 4 at the time of detecting the protrusion of the head of a transfer recording paper 1. In this position, the releasing member 5 is used as a specular reflector for exclusive use for the sensor 4. The recording paper 1 is fed along the releasing member 5, from the beginning of winding to the end of winding. Thus, a passage for the recording paper is not varied, and the protrusion of the head of the paper 1 can be stably detected. At the time of loading or unloading the paper 1, the releasing member 5 is set in a non-detecting position separated sufficiently from the sensor 4. As a result, the transfer recording paper 1 can be easily loaded and unloaded. |
