PRODUCTION OF SYNTHETIC QUARTZ GLASS MEMBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing a synthetic quartz glass member suitable for optical use because of excellent uniformity and absence of striae thereof. CONSTITUTION:In production of a synthetic quartz glass member wherein a raw material silane compound is hydrolyzed in an oxyhydrogen flame to give synthetic silica powder, which is piled on a rotating carrier and simultaneously melted and vitrified, the raw material silane compound is fed to an oxyhydrogen flame burner at a fixed speed and the irradiation position of central flame of oxyhydrogen flame is in the vicinity of the outer peripheral part of growing plane of synthetic quartz glass.
