PURPOSE: To execute a contact ammoxidation of the paraffin by using mixingly the first catalyst effective for accelerating a formation of unsatd. nitrile and olefin from the paraffin and the second catalyst effective for accelerating a conversion of the olefin to the unsatd. nitrile. CONSTITUTION: 3C-5C Paraffin is mixed with ammonia, a molecular oxygen and optionally inert gas diluent and brought into contact with a granular mixture of the first catalyst composition and the second catalyst composition. The first catalyst composition has an empirical formula of VSbm Aa Bb Cc Tt Ox , and the second catalyst composition has the empirical formula of Bik Fel Mo12 Dd Ee Ff Gg Ox , and a weight ratio of the first and second catalyst is 0.001-2.5.
