A device for sharpening used abrasive discs for reuse. The device has a cup-shaped sharpening cutter 1 and a cup- shaped pressure member 2 fitting therein, the surface of the sharpening cutter against the pressure member being corrugated and that surface of the pressure member which lies against the sharpening cutter being in the same plane. The device further has a guide rod 3, which can be mounted through the sharpening cutter and the pressure member and which centres the abrasive disc 7 undergoing sharpening between the sharpening cutter 1 and the pressure member 2 symmetrically in relation to the sharpening cutter. <IMAGE>
