PURPOSE:To suppress switching current flow through a rail by connecting the frame of a motor for driving an electric vehicle based on an output signal from an inverter with the return line of the inverter through a good electrical conductor. CONSTITUTION:Power is fed from a power source through a panthograph 10 to an inverter 18 and returns through a return line 46, a ground brush 44, a wheel 42 and a rail 40 to the power source side. At this time, a switching current is fed from the inverter 18. Since the frame 50 is connected through a conductor 52 with the return line 46, charges flow from a filter capacitor 16 through a switching element 24, a stray capacitance 34, a contact resistor 36, the conductor 52, the return line 46 and the filter capacitor 15 upon turning ON of the switching element 24. The switching current flows through a loop of a switching element 30, the return line 46, the conductor 52, the contact resistor 36, the stray capacitance 34 and the switching element 30 upon turning ON of the switching element 30 on the underside arm. |
