PURPOSE:To array the traveling directions of light which is incident at random within a certain small incidence angle range by forming such a prismatic or conic optical waveguide that the inside of the flank connecting opening parts is machined specularly. CONSTITUTION:When light is incident from a small opening part 2 at a certain angle, the light is reflected by the mirror surface 4 in the optical waveguide 1 and reflected by the mirror surface 4 on the opposite side. The light is reflected repeatedly and projected from a large opening part 3. The optical waveguide 1 spreads out, so the traveling direction of the luminous flux becomes closer to the center axis of the optical waveguide 1 every time the light is reflected. Consequently, the luminous flux which is diverged or converged at random angles can easily be arrayed within a narrow angle range. |
