PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having sufficiently good color developability, sufficiently high maximum developed color density, high sensitivity, and high picture quality by incorporating a specified coupler into at least one layer of the silver halide color photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains a coupler expressed by the formula I, wherein R1 is a (substituted) alkyl or aryl group R2 is a (substituted) alkyl or alkenyl group; X is a halogen atom, alkoxy group, or alkylamino group; Y is a (substituted) aryl group; BI is a group substitutible on a benzene ring; p is an integer zero-2. Thus, an inexpensive yellow coupler having sufficiently high dispersion stability in a silver halide emulsion, and having high reactivity is obtd. By incorporating the yellow coupler into a silver halide photographic sensitive material, a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having superior color developability, providing sufficient maximum developed color density and high picture quality, and having high sensitivity, is obtd. |
