PURPOSE:To provide the stability against heat and light and excellent carrier generatability by incorporating a photosensitive layer contg. a specific azo pigment on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body has the photosensitive layer contg. the azo pigment expressed by the formula I. In the formula, A denotes an aryl group, heterocyclic group, alkyl group; Cp denotes a residual coupler group. The azo pigment expressed by the formula I is used as photoconductive material to constitute the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body, by which only the excellent carrier generatability of the azo pigment is utilized. The excellent film properties and the excellent electrophotographic characteristics, such as charge holding power, sensitivity and residual potential, are obtd. by using this azo pigment as the carrier generating material of the separated function type electrophotographic sensitive body which executes the generation and transfer of the carrier by respectively separate materials. In addition, the fatigue deterioration at the time of repetitive use is decreased and the stable characteristics are exhibited without changing the characteristics even against heat and light. |
