PURPOSE:To prevent a useless control, when an engine output is controlled in a surely decreasing direction, by controlling a drive wheel so as to finish its drive torque control after the fixed time from detecting an intake throttle valve for its idle position. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a vehicle provided with an engine having in an intake pipe 22 a main throttle valve 23 operated by an accelerator pedal and a subthrottle valve 24 controlled in its opening by a motor 24M with a control signal from a traction controller 15, it reduces drive torque of a drive wheel by adjusting an opening of the subthrottle valve 24 in accordance with a slip amount DV calculated in accordance with a difference between a drive wheel speed VF and a non-drive wheel speed VB. In this case, when the main throttle valve 23 is detected to be placed in an idle position by a main throttle idle switch 28, after the fixed time from that detection, the above described drive wheel is controlled so as to finish its drive torque control.
