摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to derive the digital quantity of recorded picture element even in case where magnification ratio is not represented by N or 1/N by applying bit shift method and addition to the digital quantity of an original picture element. CONSTITUTION:When magnification ratio is made to 4/3, a recorded picture element E corresponds to the same position with an original picture element A, and the picture element level is denoted by (a). When the distance from the original picture element is assumed that 1, the distance from the original picture element A is 3, and accordingly, the level of recorded picture element F becomes (a+3b)/4 which is weighted average of (a) and (b) at the ratio of 1:3. As a recorded picture element G is positioned between original picture elements B, C, the picture element level is (b+c)/2. When the distance of recorded picture element H from the original picture element C is assumed as 1, the distance from the original picture element D is 3. Accordingly, the picture element level is (3c+d) which is 3:1 weighted average of (c) and (d). As a recorded picture element I corresponds to the same position with the original picture element D, the picture element level goes to (d). By repeating a period T, the picture element level of all recorded picture elements can be determined.
