PURPOSE: To utilize a single-crystal body of NYAB as a laser material, achieve a laser effect and self-multiplying frequency effect, and miniaturize a device by providing a single-crystal body rod of a specific Ndx Y1-x Al3 (BO3 )4 as a self-multiplying frequency crystal and an incoherent excitation source or a coherent excitation source for generating specific laser beams. CONSTITUTION: A laser device has a rod 1, made of a crystal of Ndx Y1-x Al3 (BO3 )4 [x ranges from 0.03 to 0.08 in the expression] as a self- multiplying frequency crystal, a straight, annular, or spiral xenon lamp 2, a mirror 3 with the total reflection of a wavelength of 1.06μm and 0.53μm, and a mirror 4 with total reflection at a wavelength of 1.06μm and total transmission at a wavelength of 0.53μm. Also, it has as optical filter 5 with total reflection at a wavelength of 1.06μm and total transmission at a wavelength of 0.53μm, an LPE-1A meter 6 for measuring the energy output of the laser, a pulse laser power supply 7, and a focal reflector 8 that is a single elliptical reflector where the crystal rod and the excitation source are arranged at each focal point, thus miniaturizing a device, reducing its weight, and consuming less energy. |
