<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an undercoat liquid and an ink-jet recording method, that, irrespective of a recording medium, excels on picture homogeneity between various recording media, enables to control the occurrence of ink bleeding, non-uniformity of line width and color irregularities and at the same time maintains the uniform dot diameter and enables to record with sufficient consistency over details regardless of the kinds of the pictures. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording method includes an undercoat liquid coating process of applying an undercoating liquid containing a polymer and an oligomer to be given on a recording medium before an image is recorded by discharging ink on the recording medium in advance and applying an undercoating liquid containing a polymer and an oligomer on the recording medium, a curing process which semi-cures the undercoating liquid applied and a recording process of recording an image by discharging an ink curable by active energy beam irradiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
