PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in the preservability of a recording image, enhanced in whiteness and generating no background fog by adding a dihydroxydiphenylsulfone compound as a developer and also adding a diphenylsulfone derivative. CONSTITUTION:A dihydroxydiphenylsulfone compound represented by formula I (wherein R<1> and R<2> are respectively a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an allyl group) is added as a developer and a diphenylsulfone derivative represented by formula II is added. As an embosiment of the compound represented by the formula I, for example, bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone or bis-(3- allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone is designated and, as an embodiment of the diphenylsulfone derivative represented by the formula II, 4-(1,2-epoxyethyl) diphenylsulfone or 4-glycidyldiphenylsulfone is designated. |
