PURPOSE:To reversibly change the color of a gut with ultraviolet and visible radiation so as to make the appearance of the gut variable by containing a photochromic material in a coating resin. CONSTITUTION:A racket gut made of synthetic resin is formed by at least a plurality of filament fibers made from synthetic resin and a coating resin integrating the filament fibers together and a photochromic material exists in the coating resin. There are various methods for providing the photochromic material in the racket gut the one by which the photochromic material is contained in nylon resin melted is recommended from the point of view of durability. As a result, when the gut is exposed to ultraviolet and visible radiation, the color of the gut is reversibly changed, thus providing a racket gut made of synthetic resin and whose appearance varies over a wide range. |
