摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To shorten the length of a word line by dividing a word line driver into at least three, arranging them and alternately connecting the word line to one word line driver. CONSTITUTION: The word line drivers of respective memory array blocks are divided into five and arranged. The first word line WL1 is connected to the first, third and fifth word line drivers WD11, WD31 and WD51. The second word line WL2 is connected to the second and fourth word drivers WD21 and WD41. Namely, the word line is alternately connected to one word line driver. An area that the word line driver occupies in the direction of the length of a row decoder 600 is reduced to 50% compared to a former case. The length of the word line becomes the quarter of the former case when the word driver is divided into five.</p>
