PURPOSE:To extend the operation life determined by use of argon gas of an air cooled argon laser bulb. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 12 is provided within a cathode bulb 5 with a metal part 8 and a thin protruding part 9. The interior of this cavity is filled with high pressure argon gas and the area in the vicinity of the protruding part 9 is provided with an electrode 11 via an insulator 10. |
