MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC CARD HAVING VISIBLE RECORDING LAYER

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase reflectivity of a reflecting layer and make images formed on a recording layer to be seen clearly, in a card manufacturing method wherein a visible recording layer is formed on a magnetic recording layer of a magnetic card through a metallic reflecting layer. CONSTITUTION:In forming a metallic reflecting layer 4 on a magnetic recording layer 3 of a magnetic card and forming thereon a visible recording layer 5 which makes transparent/non-transparent reversible change, a specular metallized layer formed on a mold release sheet is transferred on the magnetic recording layer 3 by heat and pressure so as to form the metallic reflecting layer 4. Thus, the reflecting layer 4 will have exceedingly smooth specular top surface and the reflectivity will be higher than in the case where metal is evaporated directly on a magnetic metal layer, so that images formed on the recording layer can be seen clearly.
