PURPOSE:To easily and reversibly record and erase information by providing a recording layer film and a pressure variable layer to show the change of a shape by heating between supporting bodies, and recording the information by changing selectively the optical displacement of the recording layer film. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer film 31 formed of material having a photoelastic effect and a pressure variable layer 22 constituted by laminating a thermal expansive organic material layer 21 and the shape memory resin layer 22 are provided between the supporting bodies 11, 12 by laminating them. In the case of writing the information to a recording medium 10, the recording medium 10 is irradiated by a laser beam, and the organic material layer 22 at an irradiated part is expanded or deformed locally, and pressure is impressed to the recording layer film 31 through this expansion of deformation, and thus, the film 31 is changed locally in its order. Namely, the change of the scattering, the double refraction, or the absorption of light is caused at a pressurized part, and a recorded point is formed. On the other hand, the erasing of the recorded information is executed by heating again the medium 10 to temperature at which the resin of the resin layer 22 causes shape memory. |
