PURPOSE:To decide the attribute of a sending data terminal by providing an attribute information transmission/reception device to a line exchange and a storage device and using the attribute information transmission/reception device so as to inform the attribute information corresponding to an incoming subscriber number at the call incoming from a telephone network to the storage device. CONSTITUTION:A data terminal equipment DTE makes a call to a public telephone network PSTN according to a conventional line exchange procedure and a subscriber number 1111 assigned to the attribute information coincident with its own terminal attribute is dialed among the subscriber numbers given to the trunk TRK of a line exchange SW and the subscriber numbers given to a storage device CCE connected to the line exchange SW. In the line exchange SW, the attribute information is requested to an attribute information storage circuit REG-A corresponding to the received subscriber number 1111 to decide the terminal attribute of the call. Then the attribute information is used to acquire a model M/D1 to be used for the call, the attribute information is added to an incoming signal, an attribute information transmission/reception device CTL is used to inform the attribute information of a call incoming to the storage device CCE. |
