<p>PURPOSE:To avoide the congestion of exchange nodes and also to omit the need for negotiation with a network by prescribing the congestion state of exchange nodes based on the quality of information acquired at a reception terminal and controlling adaptively the meteor of the cell that informs the prescibed congestion state to the terminal of the transmitting destination and then sends the congestion state to the network. CONSTITUTION:At a transmission terminal, the largest band area that is available in its own ATM circuit is previously set at a cell sending prescription value computing part 16 before the information is transmitted. When the desired information to be transmitted are stored in a packet storing part 11, these stored information are given to a packet input/output prescirbing part 19 from a packet input/output part 12. Then the information are sent to a celling part 13 by an instruction of the part 19. The part 13 turns the transferred packet into a cell and then sends it to a network by the cell sending control. Then the cell is sent to a reception terminal via an ATM network. At the reception terminal, the received cell is restored by a decelling part 14. The packets other than the reported one are stored in the part 11 under the control of the part 12.</p> |
