PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wasteful consumption of memory when in use without causing the deterioration in the operational performance for a user in a navigation device in which location data showing driver's own location are stored one after another while travelling. SOLUTION: When the data on latitude and longitude are obtained while travelling, whether the data of a location whose distance to the present location indicated by the newly obtained data on latitude and longitude is under a certain level already resides in a storage device is judged (SD9). When it does not reside ('NO' SD9), the value of a memory flag MFLG is altered to the value '1' which permits the obtained data on latitude and longitude to be stored in the storage device. Contrarily when it resides ('YES' SD9), the value of the memory flag MFLG is processed to maintain to be the value '0' which inhibits the obtained data on latitude and longitude to be stored in the storage device. |
