A call-censoring device for blocking any of a list of sequences of one or more digits from being dialed on a phone line is disclosed. The device comprises a first interface, a second interface, a memory, an input device, and a controller. The first interface is for operatively connecting to a phone device. The second interface is for operatively connecting to the phone line. The memory is for storing the list of sequences. The input device is operatively coupled to the memory, and is for directly adding a sequence of one or more digits to or removing a sequence of one or more digits from the list of sequences. The controller is operatively coupled to the memory and the first and the second interfaces, and is for maintaining the list of sequences and for comparing a sequence dialed at the phone device against the list of sequences and disconnecting the phone device from the phone line if the comparison yields a match. |
