<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weldless coupling to be excellent in workability such as replacement with inert gas or exchange of various connection apparatuses by decreasing torque required for fastening. SOLUTION: In a weldless coupling 1, at the internal part of a coupling body 14, two pipes 12A and 12B are movable over an axial direction without rotation of two pipes 12A an 12B. Since, when a fastening member 13 threadedly joined with the internal part of the coupling body 14 is fastened, the two pipes 12A and 12B are moved in a mutual direction and brought into pressure contact with each other, the two pipes 12A and 12B are interconnected without welding together the pipes. In this case, packings 17A and 17B arranged at the internal part of the coupling body 14 prevent leakage through a connection surface between the two pipes 12A and 12B and further, leakage from the internal part to the external part of the joint body 14 is also prevented from occurring. Since leakage from the internal part to the external part of the coupling body 14 occurs between the coupling body 14 and the fastening member 13 threadedly joined with the internal part of the coupling body, in this weldless coupling 1, there is no need to arrange a packing (a seal member) at the periphery of the fastening member 13.</p> |
