PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use the oxide for an electrode to improve an initial capacity, capacity retention, and cycle characteristic by wet-mixing lithium hydroxide and Mn compound, reducing pressure of provided slurry, drying it, crushing it, primarily baking it at a specific temperature, cooling it, again crushing it, and secondarily baking it. SOLUTION: As Mn compound, manganese dioxide or manganese carbonate is used. In wet-mixing of this and lithium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide is being dissolved in a slurry form, and is greatly dispersed in the Mn compound. Therefore, Li-Mn composite oxide provided in a post process is very uniform in composition, and thus, has high discharge capacity. The slurry is preferably depressurized to 10-4-10-3 mmHg and dried at 130-160 deg.C. The dried matter is crushed and then primarily baked at 350-500 deg.C. As a result, good composite oxide is provided as a battery. The baked matter is temporarily cooled to a temperature less than 45 deg.C, crushed again, and secondarily baked at 600-800 deg.C. |
